I am back from a trip to the Southwestern US. My husband and I drove to Santa Fe New Mexico and visited our friends there in their new hand-built, sustainable home powered by solar panels. We camped in the mountains for a week and taught workshops on plant identification for food and medicine at a primitive skills gathering. We stopped in Moab, Utah to check out the arches and visited some ancient Anasazi cliff dwellings. It was a great adventure and now I feel rested and ready to go the extra mile to help my patients heal themselves. I also have some new blog ideas to share with you all.
I’ll get back to writing about naturopathic medicine and how it can help you become and stay healthy on Thursday. In the meantime, I am harvesting and preserving all the produce that was growing while I was on vacation. We harvested the first tomatoes yesterday! That is always a special day for a gardener. Today I started some raw, cultured vegetables, a fermented food with some important health benefits. I’ll share recipes and explain the conditions I prescribe fermented foods to treat on Thursday. Next week, I plan on sharing a couple unusual breast cancer cases I have seen and share a tip that you probably haven’t heard about to ensure early detection and treatment as well as how to get a free mammogram.
